METHAMPHETAMINE CONTAMINATION
Meth users are a serious threat to the safety of a residential home because smoking the drug regularly inside the home can contaminate the internal surfaces, leaving sufficient methamphetamine residue that will be detected by our tests.
While the residue is odourless and invisible, exposure to methamphetamine residue can cause a wide range of health problems, including: respiratory problems, headaches, susceptibility to illness and eye and skin irritation. Children are more susceptible to the side-effects of methamphetamine residue.
The residue can be expensive to remove, and may require extensive cleaning. In some cases it will require removal of all affected materials, such as carpets, curtains and wall and ceiling linings.
If you are concerned that the property may have been contaminated, we will conduct a lateral, low rapid test at the time of your pre-purchase building inspection. This test provides immediate results about the presence of methamphetamine, please call and ask for a quote 0412391663.
We can also take samples for laboratory testing. Laboratory tests take seven days to complete and will report the level of methamphetamine contamination in the property. Laboratory testing is priced on application.
